Progress made during Loftia‘s October Steam Next Fest trial is meant to carry into Early Access on November 3, 2026. But there is an essential condition. Developer Qloud Games says players must link their Loftia account in-game using their email address; without the link, the team may be unable to recover demo rewards or progress. For anyone planning to continue after the demo, that detail matters more than rushing through another checklist.

How to make sure your demo progress is saved

Qloud Games’ instructions are specific enough to turn into a practical checklist:

  1. Install the current free demo from the official Steam page and create your character.
  2. Link your Loftia website account in-game using your email address. If you do not have an account, the official site is loftia.gg.
  3. Complete quests, collect items and develop your character as usual. The studio says those elements will persist into Early Access.
  4. If you unlock event cosmetics, follow the developer’s account-claim procedure instead of assuming that appearing in a demo inventory is enough.
  5. Check the studio’s news page before November 3 for any updated server, account or progression instructions.

The warning is not speculative. In its October 19 announcement, Qloud Games explicitly said it could not recover rewards or progress for an account that was not linked. We cannot verify individual save transfers before Early Access begins, so this is the published developer policy rather than an independently tested guarantee.

What you can actually do in the trial

The demo introduces Loftia City: meeting NPCs, following the opening main questline, gathering and salvaging resources, growing crops and decorating a home in a shared neighborhood. Group Adventures bring cooperative puzzles and challenges, while the first World Project invites players to work together on a birthday celebration for Pebble.

That combination is more specific than the usual ‘cozy game’ label. It offers a personal routine—farming, crafting and decorating—inside a shared world where social activities and community objectives are part of the game plan. Players who are curious about the MMO side should pay attention to whether its public projects create reasons to interact with other people, even when their preferred activity is a relaxed solo session.

The developer says playing solo is supported and should not block most progress, but the game still requires an internet connection. ‘Solo-friendly’ here does not mean offline. That is worth knowing before treating Loftia like a conventional single-player farming game.

What isn’t available until Early Access?

The developer’s dedicated demo guide identifies several clear limits. The demo’s questline stops before the Hanging Gardens. A second district, Gridfall, is also part of the Early Access roadmap rather than the festival slice. Pets are scheduled for Early Access. And although you can begin improving proficiencies now, the demo caps them at level 5; the full Early Access environment plans higher progression and expanded activities.

A quiet opening hour in Loftia City cannot represent every district, profession or social system planned for the longer release. The roadmap also remains subject to change.

Free demo rewards and your character name

Qloud Games describes a limited Demo Banner earned by entering the Player Neighborhood for the first time. Its official demo page also lists a Pebble Chair for inviting one friend and a Pebble Couch for inviting two. These are conditional event rewards; use the official rewards and account page to confirm your eligibility and claim process.

A name you claim in the demo can also carry into Early Access. Qloud Games says the name can become available to another player if you do not log into Early Access between November 3, 2026 and February 3, 2027. That is a policy about the character name; do not confuse it with an announced deletion date for all game progress.

What will Loftia cost after the free demo?

The studio’s official Early Access information currently lists a US$29.99 base price and a planned 17% launch discount to US$24.89, alongside regional pricing. The October trial is free, while the full Early Access game is paid. Qloud Games also describes cosmetic purchases and an optional Community Pass; these are announced monetization plans, not an evaluation of the finished economy.

If you want to carry your work into the November release, the rational order is straightforward: try the available activities, link your account, claim any rewards you’re eligible for, and then decide whether the paid Early Access scope is worth the price. There’s no need to race through systems the demo does not contain.
