Mass Effect trilogy producer Casey Hudson has got some news for us again. This time it was at the occasion of commemorating N7 day. The producer said, the reason behind continuing the Mass Effect series even after the completion of Shepard storyline is that the idea still lives, the idea of exploring the universe. He said that people loved Mass Effect and they will continue with the series. He promised the fans of much fun and entertainment in Mass Effect 4. He further mentioned that seeing new species, planets and having choices are the things that matter the most.
The diehard fans have been criticizing Hudson for his audacity to speak about the game in a new way, as he is the guy who sent the writers of ME1 and ME2 home. Mac Walters was the guy behind Mass Effect 2 but the fact he was hired for that specific game only. Casey Hudson and Drew wrote Mass Effect 2 according to Bioware. The fans are complaining against the conclusion of indoctrinated Shepard idea as that was the most compelling part of Mass Effect games. Some are claiming that even the topic gets closed if somedody tries to open it on the official website. That’s somewhat sad and absurd in nature.
Whatever the inner story is, people are anxiously waiting for Mass Effect 4 to hit the stores. It’s the game that matters the most right now for the fans around the world. It’s pretty clear from the statements made by the Bioware people that they are about to give something new. The vital part of last three Bioware games “Reapers” will not be in Mass Effect 4. As Hudson said, it’s about exploring the universe.
Bioware previously shaped a gigantic universe, so meddling with it will be a serious matter and I don’t think they will make such a silly mistake. The storyline is predicted to start before the Reapers war. As all of you remember, there were many random endings of Mass effect 3 so the start of mass effect 4 will be a surprise for many of us. There are many logical things which Bioware needs to consider as the game is in active development phase. There are many possibilities out there, so keep your fingers crossed and wait for fresh news from the developers. Fans of Mass Effect series are hoping yet another mind-blowing masterpiece from the creators. Let’s see how they respond.
From the statements of Bioware guys, it’s pretty clear that they are up to something unique, new and surprising. In brief, it will be a risk. Starting with a whole new storyline, it might puzzle the players. My prediction is that Mass Effect 4 will be in stores by the end of 2014. What do you guys say?
I hope the developers will not mess with the hopes and imaginations of their fans. What have you extracted so far from the news and rumors about Mass Effect 4? Don’t forget to share your expectations.
