For outsiders who don’t know about the horror/survival zombie franchise called Resident Evil, Capcom has been produced six titles for the main series and numerous other spin-offs. Unlike the main series that follow two protagonists Chris Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy, the spin-offs focus on other secondary characters like Chris’s younger sister, the red-headed Clare Redfield, who has happened to have met and partnered with Leon on different occasions and scenarios. As previously shown in the Revelations 2 gameplay video, Clare stares as the main protagonist who is exploring an eerie isolated island, but this sequel doesn’t seem to aim for action-oriented players.

Michiteru Okabe, the producer of Resident Evil: Revelations 2, provides some comments toward the difference between the Resident Evil and Revelations.

“You’re right to say that the numbered Resident Evil games are more action-oriented. They’re aimed at a wide, mass audience. The Resident Evil: Revelations games, however, are aimed at long-time RE fans who want a more traditional, survival horror experience.”

Hearing this brief message, future players should feel relieved by this statement. As already mentioned in previous articles and news, this project will be released episodically at least once a week. Meaning four episodes for four weeks. In the end, audiences will see how Resident Evil Revelations 2 stacks up when it releases in early 2015 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC.
