With the recent one-year anniversary of the last-generation version of GTA 5, frustrated gamers have been aching for more news from Rockstar Games regarding the promised online heists.
There have been rumors, speculation, and leaks galore, however the game industry giant has not yet revealed any official announcements related to the long-awaited GTA 5/GTA Online heists.
While not an official announcement, recent developments point to the possibility of online heists coming with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release of GTA 5. Rockstar Games just recently released the “Last Man Standing” update, and a tech-savvy individual has discovered some interesting details within the patch’s source code.

A user on the GTAForums has discovered PlayStation Trophies/Xbox Achievements within the source code of the aforementioned “Last Man Standing” update that are presumably earned through performing heists.

Is Rockstar Games gearing up for an official heist announcement in the near future? While not yet confirmed, the above Trophy/Achievement list lends some support to the possibility of heists coming to GTA 5 sometime soon.
It’s entirely possible that Rockstar may be awaiting the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release of GTA 5 on November 18th to implement heists, however keep in mind this is still rumor and speculation. This article will be updated with the appropriate information if, or when, pertinent news emerges.
