Rockstar fixes GTA Online exploits, bugs in 1.06 update

Rockstar Games, Grand Theft Auto’s developer online has released the latest patch for the game along with the ‘Beach Bum’ update. The patch is to be used to fix exploits and bugs in the online sector of GTA 5. Last week, Rockstar provided details on the ‘Beach Bum’. The update is inclusive of various new weapons, vehicles, jobs and more. The items will not only be accessible in GTA’s story mode, but also in GTA Online. The current GTA Online update that introduces the multi-player mode to version has a number of fixes.

The full list of exploits and bugs is as follows:

  • The issue whereby the game deletes player’s personal vehicle if they have another player inside it and they add Insurance and Tracker has been fixed.
  • The problem of players getting stuck on aerial view as they enter GTA Online while cloud servers are down has been corrected.
  • The issue where ‘damaged goods’ would begin even when it had been completed has been fixed.
  • In the rare circumstance that a player failed to claim back their private automobile in GTA online has been fixed.
  • Menus malfunctioning as a result of players being able to re-spray a Declasse Sheriff SUV after getting it into the Los Santos Customs has been fixed.
  • There were some instances where players were likely to lose all private vehicles after failing to rejoin any online session after having being idle kicked. The update has resolved the issue.
  • In some cases, players would get stuck once they had killed a pedestrian using a golf club. This issue has been resolved.
  • Corrected an exploit whereby players were allowed to keep their personal vehicle once they sold the same at the mode shop at the Los Santos Customs. They were able to do so by moving to and fro between Online and Story Mode.
  • The update has corrected an exploit which allowed players to repeatedly sell any Bati 801 to the Los Santos Customs.
  • Corrected the exploit whereby players accepting a mission when exiting a prestigious garage were able to replicate vehicles.
  • An exploit whereby players are able to begin a Team Deathmatch using all players of the same team was corrected.

When cloud servers of Rockstar are not available, players will not be able to delete the GTA Online character they use.

Tuning changes are part of the patch with the intent of tweaking the GTA Online plays that includes re-balancing rewards:

  • There has been a significant reduction in all Bad Sport penalties for destruction of personal vehicles.
  • When players have a vehicle crashed into them while they are present in a stationary tank, they will not receive Bad Sport penalty.
  • The average time it takes to complete Parachuting, Deathmatches and Races is the basis for EP rewards and GTA$.
  • Players can now get RP rewards and GTA$ by being members of a losing team, or when they fail a cooperative job in the course of a Versus Mission. The duration of the Mission / Job will determine the overall gain.
  • Players currently receive a single bonus GTA$ multiplier on all Missions played at high difficulty levels.
  • All players in a team, in Team Deathmatch, now get the same RP rewards and GTA$, with the team winning getting approximately four to five times what a losing team is given.
  • The patch has removed debris instances in some races such as the cardboard present in the race ‘Down the Drain’.
  • Pegasus deliveries have been reduced to $200 from $1,000
  • Calling Lester to remove a wanted level is now scaled with basis on the number of stars a player has. The cost is at $200 for each star.

Players who have been waiting for the above mentioned changes should not hesitate to get the patch. Rockstar claims that more updates / patches for GTA 5 will be available once various issues are resolved.
