New leaked footage of what could have been Free Radical’s version of a third installment in the Star Wars Battlefront series has been shown on Youtube. Footage for Battlefront 3 leaked about two years ago, however, this brand new unseen footage shows off raw gameplay from a very early build of the game on Xbox 360. Included in the video is ground and vehicle combat from the single player campaign mode. Due to it being pre-alpha footage, the frame rate is terrible and the game is mostly unfinished. Star Wars Battlefront 3 was being developed by Free Radical Design, now known as Crytek UK. The game ended up being cancelled for unknown reasons. Of course, we are now getting a brand new Battlefront developed by DICE. EA now holds exclusive rights to all Star Wars games and it didn’t take long before a new Battlefront was announced by them. That being said, it’s still interesting to see more footage for what could have been.
