Get ready to kill a God in the Destiny Dark Below DLC on December 9th.

Some PS4 gamers who have purchased the Destiny Dark Below DLC have been unable to get back into the game, while Xbox One owners seem to be unaffected. According to online discussion threads on Reddit (which you can see here and here) after downloading the DLC players where then shown a countdown timer which they have been unable to get past.

This problem only seems to be effecting players who downloaded the digital version of Destiny on the PS4 but then both the DLC as a standalone purchase. Some people seem to have gotten it to work by deleting and then re-downloading the whole game again but this isn’t granted to work. Some players have also managed to get past the countdown by restoring the license and by turning off their PS4 twice.

The Dark Below DLC is priced at £20/$20 and will be released on December 9th. In the Dark Below players will have to work with the new character Eris in order to stop the Hive from summoning the God, Crota in order to destroy the Earth. Players will get to take on Crota itself in the new six player raid titled Crota’s End.

On top of this the Dark Below also comes with:

  • New weapons, armour and gear
  • Players can raise their light level to 32.
  • There will be PS4 exclusive content
  • Three new multiplayer maps
  • A new cooperative strike titled:  The Will of Crota.

Some PS4 players who have purchased the Destiny Dark Below DLC have been unable to get back into the main game due to being unable to get past the countdown timer. This problem seems to be isolated to the PS4 version of Destiny.
