X-mini CLEAR Review

   The X-mini CLEAR, A Speaker Worth Listening To Or Not?

After reviewing the previous X-mini speaker, I simply had to review the X-mini CLEAR. X-mini has changed its design this time around, as well as the whole base for many of their top quality speakers. They have finally stepped out of the capsule speaker market into the world of small sound systems and have made that transition well.

Firstly, the design of the product itself is still quality, and the overall build of the speaker keeps the usual robust and well-built feel. The CLEAR has a glossy black trim with a textured front panel, two capsule speakers and a Subwoofer, as well as a magnetic strip of sorts that sits nicely in the front panel. The magnetic strip actually holds the dust guard in place in order to give it that sophisticated look. Personally, I preferred it without the guard attached. Over on the rear side, we have a clear shell that shows the innards, which is a nice touch, and is reminiscent of the Harman Kardon speakers. 

Obviously, the device has some great features too. Bluetooth capability and NFC ensure that this speaker can literally be connected to any of todays modern tech. It also has a 3.5 mm AUX input to the rear that is available for the most retro of music lovers too. Additionally, the CLEAR is also capable of charging your device while you listen to music via Bluetooth, which means you can listen to your favorite music for ages. I played Wizzard’s “I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday” over and over, and never got bored.

The X-mini CLEAR is a great device for gamers too. Connecting the device to your console of choice will grant you superb game audio. Plus, a microphone is also present in the CLEAR, so party chat works as well.

The CLEAR surprised me every time I turned it on, the device just keeps on impressing. Its little features like the touch sensitive buttons, the mood lighting and the rechargeable battery make it a great speaker. The battery can last for up to eight hours of use too, even when your phone is charging in the back.

The CLEAR is impressive, to say the least, and will look great wherever situated. It is compact enough to carry around, and packs a huge punch when delivering audio. The CLEAR sounds clear. In fact, the only issue I have with the product was that its bass isn’t so deep. On the other hand, the audio coming through the speakers ends up being ultra crisp and clear though.

VERDICT

The time I had with the CLEAR was fantastic. As a matter of fact, it now ranks as one of my favorites. It is a speaker that caters for all devices and that delivers stellar audio. It looks and feels fantastic and is easy to use, making it one of the best in the market today.
