It’s another week filled with excellent titles, hooray! Throughout the next seven days, big releases like Grim Fandango: Remastered, Dying Light and the first episode of Life Is Strange, and indies such as Gunman Clive 2, Supreme League of Patriots and Unmechanical: Extended are all releasing for us to enjoy, while digital ports of Nihilumbra, Pix the Cat, Teslagrad and Metroid Prime Trilogy are also launching as well. With that being said, enjoy this week’s video game releases!

Monday January 26, 2015:
- Raven’s Cry
Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 (PlayStation Versions Release on January 28, 2015)
Price: $TBD
After numerous delays, Reality Pump and Topware’s pirate-inspired Third-Person RPG, Raven’s Cry, is finally seeing a release on three platforms this week. As Christopher Raven, a pirate whose family was murdered, you must set on a quest for revenge by taking on activities and engaging in free-flowing sword combat. You’ll have to use the interesting Fear and Notoriety systems to dictate the actions of the world around you. Take note that, despite the PC version releasing on the 26th, the PlayStation versions come out on the 28th.
Tuesday January 27, 2015:
- Dying Light
Platforms: Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC
Price: $59.99 for the Game, $19.99 for the Season Pass
Coming from the developers that brought us the two initials Dead Island titles, Dying Light is another title involving zombies, except this one has a larger emphasis on traversal and freerunning. Additionally, the game has an interesting Day and Night cycle where they are a more powerful when the Sun goes than when they are easily visible through daylight. Plus, if you want to spice up your supply scavenging and zombie killing skills, you can take on the game’s co-op mode that supports up to four players, with a game mode allowing you to play as a flesh eating freak. - Grim Fandango: Remastered
Platforms: PlayStation 4, PC, PlayStation Vita – (Digital Only on All Platforms)
Price: $14.99 (Cross-Buy for PlayStation Versions)
Regarded by many as one of the greatest Adventure games of all-time, Grim Fandango is receiving the remastered treatment 17 years after its original release with LucasArts. You play as Manny Calavera, a down-on-his-luck “travel agent” that goes on a quest to save a woman who supposedly has the answers to all of his questions through the Land of the Dead. The Remastered version of the game features enhanced control options, a graphical upgrade and some special features including a Director’s Commentary with the 14 main developers that originally created the game. - Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2: Sisters Generation
Platform: PlayStation Vita
Price: $39.99
Seeing its North American debut this week, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2 is a remake of its mk2 original version. This Vita edition includes a new ending, a mechanic that allows you to jump between dungeons and new playable characters. Engage in over-the-top free-roaming battles to save the world of Gaminndustri.
- Nihilumbra
Platform: PlayStation Vita (Digital Only)
Price: $9.99
The critically acclaimed iOS title Nihilumbra is a game inspired by revolutionary Puzzle games such as Portal 2 and Limbo. As Born, you must try to escape from your inevitable curse, which causes him to separate himself from emptiness and appear in the world by using colors in his surroundings.
- Teslagrad
Platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 – (Digital Only on Both Platforms)
Price: $9.99 (Cross-Buy)
Finally coming to North America, Teslagrad is a 2D Puzzle Platformer where magnetic and electromagnetic powers are the forefront of its 100+ levels. Additionally, it is a non-linear game, meaning you can take on its puzzle in the order you desire. - Gunman Clive 2

Price: $2.99
Gunman Clive is back for a new Action Platforming adventure on 3DS. This time around, you must chase away the bandits through the sequel’s brand new dynamic levels. Plus, with its cheap $3 price point, there is no reason to not revisit the Wild West another time.
- Heroes of Might and Magic III – HD Edition
Platforms: PC, iOS, Android – (Digital Only on All Platforms)
Price: $14.99
One of the most popular Heroes title is finally receiving the HD treatment nearly 15 years after its original release. You will now be able to experience the same joys of this Strategy RPG with upgraded visuals on wide screen and online Multiplayer for the first time.
- Metroid Prime Trilogy
Platform: Wii U (Digital Only)
Price: $19.99 ($9.99 for the First Week of Release)
After Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Punch-Out!! coming to the Wii U eShop, it’s now time for the Metroid Prime Trilogy to hit Nintendo’s home console digital distribution service. Regarded as one of the rarest compilations and Wii games ever, this trilogy regroups Retro Studios’ three Metroid Prime titles into a single disc, or download for this case, along with full motion control support with the Wii Remote. This also means that a Wii Remote is required to play the game on Wii U unfortunately. Nonetheless, you if you have missed out on these incredible games, now is best time to try them out.
- Pix the Cat
Platform: PC (Digital Only)

Following its recent PlayStation release, Pastagames’ Pix the Cat is heading to PC, thanks to Steam. This intense Arcade title is Pac-Man mixed with Snake, creating a highly entertaining experience that can be as addictive as it is challenging. - Supreme League of Patriots – Issue #1: A Patriot Is Born
Platform: PC (Digital Only)
Price: $6.99 (+10% Pre-Purchase Discount), $15.99 for All Three Episodes (+10% Pre-Purchase Discount)
Coming from indie developer No Bull Intentions, Supreme League of Patriots is an episodic Point and Click Adventure game putting you in the shoes of The Purple Patriot as he becomes the hero New York deserves. Poking fun at all things vigilante, pop culture, politics and reality TV, you’ll meet quite an ensemble cast of weird and zany superheroes. Take note that only the first Issue, or episode, of SLOP releases this week, but you can also prepare yourself in advance for the two future episodes by pre-purchasing the Season Pass.

- Life Is Strange – Episode 1

Price: $4.99 for Episode 1, $19.99 for the Complete Season
Life Is Strange is an episodic interactive drama adventure exploring the life of a young student named Maxine Caulfield who has the ability to rewind time at any moment. Its core mechanics mostly involve interacting with NPCs through dialogue options and decision making, but you’ll most likely find yourself solving puzzles by going back through time. Each episode will cost $5 when they are released, but you can also prepare in advance and buy the full five-episode-long season for $20.
- Unmechanical: Extended
Platforms: Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 (PlayStation Versions Release on February 10, 2015) – (Digital Only on All Platforms)
Price: $9.99
Do you like solving puzzles that combine complexity, traversing through the environment and an engrossing atmosphere? Well, Unmechanical: Extended is the game for you. Featuring simple and intuitive controls, new levels and puzzles, this tile will certainly put your puzzle solving skills to the test. PlayStation users must take note that, though the Xbox One version of the game releases on Friday, they will only get it in two weeks.
