Choosing Between The Latest Versions of Nokia, Sony, and Motorola Smartphones

The smartphone market is constantly getting saturated with a vast number of different companies that meet the needs of every budget, and provide numerous features that will fit the tastes and preference of variety of customers. Some are familiar with the big name companies that roll out products each season, but many new and old companies are getting into the mix to compete with the likes of Apple and Samsung. So take a gander at this article to give you a mixture of what phone can work for.

Design

The Motorola Moto E is the lightest and thinnest device on the market, with 4.91 x2.55 x.048, and weighing only 5 ounces. Sony’s Xperia M2, on the other hand, is slightly larger weighing 5.2 ounces, and measuring at 5.50 x 2.80 x .35 inches. The largest of the bunch is the Nokia Lumia 625 with measuring 5.25 x 2.84 x. 36 inches and weighing 5.6 ounces.

Display

Out of the three phones compared, the Motorola Moto E is in last place, with the smallest, which is likely given the smaller body at 4.3 inches. The Nokia Lumia 625 has a 4.8 screen, while the Sony Xperia M2 has a 4.8 inch screen. Even though, the Moto E has the smallest screen it has a 540 x 960 resolution. The Nokia Lumia 625 has a resolution of 480 x 800, and the Xperia M2 has a resolution of 540 x 960. The best display goes to the Moto E by far as has higher pixel density of 256 ppi, compared to Xperia M2 and Nokia Lumia 625 at 229 ppi, and 201 ppi. The Lumia however provides a display that is scratch resistant, and each support multi-touch, and have sensors that adjust for proximity and light.

Hardware

The Moto E comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 200m, also found in the other two models, with Lumia 625 running on the superior Snapdragon S4 Plus, and Xperia M2 on Snapdragon 400. Each has a speed of 1.2 GHz, with Xperia and Moto E having 1 GB RAM and Lumia having 512 of RAM. The Lumia 625 and Moto E each have a storage capacity of 8 GB, while the Xperia M2 has 4 GB of storage capacity.

Camera

Xperia M2 provides the best camera with 8 MP, and Moto E and Lumia 625 each have 5MP. Moto E also trails the other two with on recording on 854 x 480 videos, while Xperia M2 and Lumia 624 can record in full HD at 1920 x 1080. Each has the standard features of touch to focus, Geo-tagging, and auto focus.

Battery

The battery life is good for each, as Nokia Lumia 625 has 15 hours of talk time on its 2000 mAh battery. While Xperia M2 and Moto E have 13 hours of talk time on a 2300 mAh battery.

Conclusion

Overall when looking at all three devices, Motorola Moto E is the best, with a reasonable price tag, and a better system compared to the rest.
