Operation Broken Fang for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is now available for download in the United States and abroad via Steam. This latest update to the game features a unique Competitive Arena mode, as well as seven new maps.
The said game mode addition, called Retakes, is available to everyone free of charge. Speaking of free, Operation Broken Fang arrives just as CS:GO is about to complete its second full year as a free-to-play game.
It’s worth pointing out that the game’s demise many have been predicting following its shift to the freemium model hasn’t yet arrived. Be that as it may, we’d be lying if we said we’re living through another golden era of CS:GO akin to 2016. You’ll be asked to part with several dollars for some other parts of this expansion – most notable of which are weekly missions – as is tradition. The season is priced at $14.99, to be more specific.
In addition to the aforementioned Valve-created maps, a handful of community-made Maps have also made the cut for Operation Broken Fang. This newest CS:GO season will run for over four months, all the way until the 30th of April, 2021. Its developers at Valve are expected to share details about the next subsequent season come early February, based on the company’s track record.
