Many await the release of Destiny, a game from the creators of Halo and by the company that brought us Call of Duty. And with good reason. Playing as the Guardian of the last city on Earth, you will be able to explore planets while reclaiming everything in the name of Earth. It is to be a first-person action shooter with cinematic, well-written story lines. So while we wait for this one, here’s a look at Destiny’s Collector’s Edition, and some of the things you will be getting. Maybe this will help you answer the age old, pre-order, collector’s edition question: will it be worth it?
Destiny’s Collector’s Edition

Of course you’ll be receiving the game itself…duh. And as most collector’s edition, the case itself will be made out of a heartier steel, made to last. Or to be used as a cool shield if you are in need of one, for whatever reason.
Arms and Armament
This is a sort of field guide, a book containing the truth about the Destiny’s weapons and armor.
Postcards from the Golden Age
Postcards? That’s new. But they look interesting, and show Earth before it became apocalyptic.
Star Chart
This one is a map of sorts. It shows you all of the places you can travel to in Destiny.
In addition to these things, you will be getting some virtual goodies, including a skin, an emblem, expansion pass, and a few others. And for those wanting even more out of their pre-order, they can pick up the Ghost edition of the game, sort of the “gold” edition, which includes even more goodies. Including all of these things, Ghost edition packs a few things extra.

A cool little thing, it senses motion and includes lights and audio from the game.
Letter of Introduction
This is to be a mission brief, for any space adventurer.
Golden Age Relics
This includes a sticker, a patch, and 2 chrome slides of “The Traveler.”
And of course, you will be getting all of the digital perks of the collector’s edition. And if collectable’s aren’t your thing, you can go for the Destiny Digital Guardian edition, which includes a digital version of the game, an expansion pass, collector’s edition virtual pack, reservation for the upcoming DLC, and a bit more.
So, will it be worth it? Well that’s up to you. If you know you’re going to be a fan of this game, and would love to immerse yourself in it as much as possible, then of course! But if you’re on the fence and wouldn’t mind missing out on a few papers, books, and replicas, in addition to some virtual extras, then maybe you’ll be more likely to pass.
