Julia Humphreys of Blizzard Entertainment that Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition will run at 900P on the Xbox One while Sony’s PS4 will be running the game at 1080P. When asked why such a big difference Humphreys stated that “We’re prioritizing frame rate” which seems to be true as both games will run at 60fps both consoles.
This is not the first time that a same game runs has higher resolution on the PS4 than the Xbox One; Tomb Raider Definitive Edition ran at 1080P and 60fps on PS4 while Xbox only ran 720P and 30fps. Now this isn’t that noticeable to the human eye but when put together you can see a difference.
