Endix is coming back November 6 to 8, 2026, for a third run at an idea that sounded odd the first time: a game industry expo you attend as a character inside a video game, rather than a livestream you watch from the sidelines. The event is free to attend and runs entirely through downloadable clients on Steam and the Epic Games Store, with no ticket, no travel and no show floor to queue for.
Players build an avatar and walk a virtual convention center, dropping into developer booths built from real in-game assets rather than static banners. According to Endix, the previous edition drew more than six million total impressions and close to 30,000 hours of Twitch watch time over two days, with upwards of 240 creators streaming from the show floor and more than 30 custom booths from exhibitors including THQ Nordic, Frozen District, Team17, 505 Games and Gameforge. Those figures come from the organizer rather than an independent tally, so they read here as Endix’s own account of its reach, not a verified count.
What to Expect on the Show Floor
- A Fully Digital Expo. Customize an avatar and walk a bustling virtual convention center, talking with other players, press, publishers and studios along the way.
- Play Before Anyone Else. Step up to a virtual kiosk and try demos of upcoming titles, indie and AAA alike.
- Catch Exclusive Trailers. New trailers and game reveals premiere on the virtual show floor as the event runs.
- Meet the Developers. Talk directly with the teams and publishers behind the games on display.
- Cover the Show From a Booth of Your Own. Media outlets get a digital booth and a media lounge, for filing coverage and meeting readers without leaving the event.
Why It Exists
Founder Nikos Perifanis built Endix on a fairly specific complaint: watching a favorite convention through someone else’s livestream and wishing he could actually be there. “When we started Endix, we were aware that the concept was unusual, and we had no idea how people would react to what we had in mind,” Perifanis said in the announcement. “Seeing our community grow and watching gamers enjoy an event we built for everyone, regardless of social anxiety, budget constraints, or other barriers, gives us a huge push to keep going, adding features and working non-stop to create something amazing.”
That pitch, an expo with no flight, hotel or badge to budget for, is the whole case for Endix. Whether a walkable avatar convention beats a curated livestream is a genuine open question. A crowd of avatars can wander past a booth the way a trade-show crowd does; it cannot replicate the production value of a produced stream, and Endix’s own November lineup, including which studios and titles will actually show up, has not been announced yet. The May 2026 edition opened the same way, naming a handful of exhibitors up front and filling out the roster over the following weeks, so a bare-bones announcement now is the event’s usual pattern rather than a one-off gap.
How to Join
The download is free on Steam or the Epic Games Store. Once installed, players pick an avatar and drop straight into the show floor to explore booths, play demos, join mini-games and talk to other attendees. A full list of participating studios, publishers and featured titles for the November 6 to 8 dates is due in the coming weeks.
