by GH Staff

The latest operating system from Microsoft was Windows 8 which is available on most of their newest devices. However, Microsoft is close to releasing a Windows 10 version while skipping a would be 9 version entirely. This could be likely due to the lack of enthusiasm in Windows 9. This is probably due to the look of the user interface that is shared between the smartphone, tablet, and PC platforms. Microsoft admitted during a press conference in September that Windows 8 has not been as well liked as expected from users. Microsoft has stated clearly that the new operating system will be a familiar outing with some of the elements from Windows 8, and Windows 7 elements for the new version.

Getting Back To The Basics

For the new Windows 10 OS, making a return is the Start Menu. In the classic left side position at the bottom, the menu will be available to users but will expand to two columns, with one column showing a list, while the other column will show the apps icons. The start menu will consist of user made modifications ,  in regards to its size and shape. While also providing a universal search engine tied into the search bar, which will also display results from the internet.

Multi-Tasking At Its Best

For the new operating system, Task View will feature on the screen multiple desktops at once. The option for opening to display all the screens will be displayed at the bottom, and using the new Snap Assist feature, you are able to transfer applications from one to another desktop. Users will likely be thrilled with the new feature if they usually multi-task on their computer.

User Input

Touch Feature will be continued to use on Windows 10 while a few modifications will be made to the Charms bar. Also on the new Windows 10 operating system, it makes the transition easier for using the keyboard and the touch feature.

Command Prompt

Command Prompt, has not often been widely used by most users in Windows. However, for those that do, it now just got a lot easier for you. Microsoft has made changes that allow for cut and paste directly into the box, using the command CTRL+ V, unlike have a context menu opened.

WIP

Windows Inside Program or WIP is a function used by users for Windows to send Microsoft feedback to help improve their OS. With Windows 10, Microsoft will be better able to keep tabs on the program, when users use WIP and provide more feedback. For this to happen, however, users need to understand BIOS and DLL to be more effective.

Business-Oriented

Windows 10 will offer better support presumably for the corporate world in a better handle for their current management systems. Microsoft is particularly popular in large businesses, and Microsoft wants to expand on that by providing better management for personal and business use with the Windows 10. Presumably making it easier to set measures that are appropriate for the level of security. The new OS will be sure to be another hit with the business world and Windows users.
