A new Halo fan film going by the name of L-058 has recently launched a crowdfunding campaign via Kickstarter with a goal of $21,000 dollars, with just about a month to go.

This new movie based on Bungie/343 Industries beloved Halo franchise looks fairly promising, judging by the little that has been revealed so far.

The premise of L-058 centers around a female character named Linda, one of the surviving Spartan 2s. The Halo-inspired short fan film plans to follow Linda’s story through the journey that ended up with her on the Pillar of Autumn in the Halo novel The Fall of Reach

Halo Short Fan Movie Begins Production

The following comes from L-058‘s official Kickstarter page:

“L-058 is a short fan film that follows the Spartan, Linda-058, up until the events of Halo: Combat Evolved. In the game’s universe, Linda is one of Master Chief’s closest allies. On countless missions, she’s watched out for him and the rest of her squad from afar. She’s a pro with the sniper rifle, and often operates as a “lone wolf”.

This short fan film would cover Linda’s story through the events that ultimately put her on the Pillar of Autumn, which is in the novel The Fall of Reach and an Easter egg in the Halo: Anniversary game.

We’ll be filming everything on the RED Epic-Dragon camera at 6K resolution, the downscaling and delivering at 4K for everyone to view on YouTube.”
