If you’re waiting anxiously on details for Microsoft’s upcoming live-action Halo: Nightfall digital feature, then look no further than San Diego Comic-Con. The company announced that gamers can get their first look at the series on Thursday, July 24th.
Written by Prison Break creator Paul Scheuring, directed by Sergio Mimica-Gezzan (of Heroes fame), and produced by Ridley Scott (known for Alien, and just about everything with Russel Crow), Halo: Nightfall stars Mike Colter and Christina Chong. As we learned at E3, the story focuses on the mysterious Agent Jameson Locke, who is “a rising star in a futuristic army, who is troubled by aspects of the military industrial complex he inhabits. Approaching combat situations with caution and logic, he inspires loyalty in his fellow Spartans.” The story bridges the gap between Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians, the latter of which features Locke as a central character.
Starring in Halo: Nightfall, Agent Locke is a key character in Halo 5: GuardiansVia Xbox Wire, the announcement states that key members of Halo: Nightfall‘s cast and crew will be among a panel at the event, as well as 343 Industry’s Frank O’Connor (Franchise Development Director) and Kiki Wolfkill (Executive Producer).
As well as the Halo: Nightfall panel, the post details Microsoft’s full lineup for San Diego’s Comic-Con. These include, but aren’t limited to, a look behind the scenes of Sunset Overdrive, a panel on Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and a first glimpse of Microsoft’s documentary Atari: Game Over.
