Pre-order bonuses are often despised among gamers, due to some believing that the bonus should already be apart of the main game without having to pre-order. Whether it’s a costume, weapon or character it’s become frowned upon in the industry and retailer exclusive bonuses add even more fuel to the fire. However certain studios have given good incentives to pre-order their titles and 343’s Halo: The Master Chief Collection may have one the coolest pre-order bonuses yet.
If you pre-order the game through Gamestop now and between the release date you’ll receive a special Bandanna Skull that will grant the player unlimited ammo and grenades for all the Halo titles included in the Collection. It looks like 343 Studios are fans of Metal Gear Solid since this bandanna reminds us of the end game unlock that granted Snake unlimited ammo in the original Metal Gear Solid. This should make those Legendary difficulty playthroughs a walk in the park now. Hopefully using this skull doesn’t disable achievements.
All the games included in the collection come remastered in 1080p resolution 60 frames per second and will include 45 campaign missions plus 100 multiplayer maps. It will also include access to the Halo 5: Guardians beta which begins on December 27th. Halo: The Master Chief Collection will launch on November 11th this year and it will also mark the 10 year anniversary of Halo 2.
