Angstrom Levy joins Invincible VS on October 13 as the third DLC fighter and 21st playable character, developer Quarter Up and publisher Skybound Games announced on Xbox Wire. He arrives as part of Season 2, and the roster has already grown this year with fighters like Universa and The Immortal, who joined in June.
Angstrom Levy’s zoning, portals, and orb toolkit
Angstrom Levy is a zoning-focused fighter with a strong emphasis on setups and strategy. His portals can be used offensively, defensively, and for mobility. When placed carefully, those portals can be turned into traps and create surprises for opponents who are not paying attention. He can also summon and command orbs. The portals and orbs have unique interactions that open more ways to manipulate the fight and pressure opponents. He approaches battle differently from the rest of the roster. The studio wanted his portals at the heart of everything he does.
The multiversal accident behind Angstrom Levy
Angstrom was once a brilliant human able to travel across different dimensions. A horrific accident left him with a gigantic, disfigured brain and the memories of his alternate selves from across the multiverse. His mind fractured, and he now blames Invincible for his suffering. The developers wanted a character who rewards creativity. The more time players spend experimenting with how the portals and orbs work together, the more setups they can discover.
Evo France debut and Xbox availability
Invincible VS is a brutal superhero 3v3 tag fighting game set in the Invincible universe. Players battle as a team of fan-favorite characters in iconic locations. Teammates, assists, and Angstrom’s ability to control space open up more team strategies. Angstrom Levy will be playable at Evo France this October for the first time, ahead of his October 13 release. Quarter Up has previously discussed local play and trash talk as elements of the fighting game community.
Invincible VS is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and Xbox Cloud as an Xbox Play Anywhere title. The game, priced at $49.99, is published by Skybound Games and is the debut title from Quarter Up, Skybound’s first in-house studio, led by former members of the core Killer Instinct (2013) development team.
