Humble Bundle – Nearly Free Games with a Good Conscience!
While this site has been around for some time, not everyone utilizes it. Humble Bundle is a site that not only has its own store of typically discounted, nearly free games, but also does pay-what-you-want game and eBook bundles. Typically partnered with Indie devs (though they have partnered with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and other larger companies), Humble Bundle has a store full of games like Rust, Dead Island Riptide, FTL, Sniper Elite 3, Goat Simulator, Amnesia, and so much more.
While some of these are full priced, there are always sales happening. If you’d like to get games for even cheaper, you can do their weekly bundle or their popular “Humble Bundle.” These are a bundle of different games (and occasionally software), typically with a theme. Each bundle usually changes weekly, though flash sales do happen from time to time. These bundles include a handful of games for one price- and you get to pick that price! That’s right, you can pay as low as $1 for a handful of games which are redeemed through Steam. If you go above and beyond, paying more than the average (which is usually $6-$10), you unlock bonuses, which include more games to DLC and soundtracks. Definitely a steal!
But the best part about this site? A portion of the proceeds from any bundle or store purchase goes to charity. Humble Bundle supports charities including American Red Cross, Child’s Play, Charity: Water, and others. If you purchase a bundle you can even choose exactly how much of your money goes to devs, to the site itself, and to the charity!
