New Destiny Gameplay Revealed

by GH Staff

Bungie had been teasing about releasing new information regarding Destiny for awhile now. In fact, images and short video teasers on Instagram appeared during the weekend, promising more goodies to come. Oh, and how they came. We actually get to see the gaming in action this time around, with a considerable amount of real gameplay footage. Towards the end, the trailer reveals that Bungie and Activision will indeed be present at E3 2014, and those attending will be getting a chance to try out Destiny themselves.

As for the trailer, there’s quite a lot to digest. First thing that comes to mind is how visually stunning Bungie’s game really is. Destiny looks amazing, especially when analyzing the beautifully crafted artwork. The game seems to be dynamic enough. The scenario in the trailer presents the cooperative aspects of Destiny. While the game doesn’t seem to be particularly difficult in this demo, Bungie claims that team-work will be essential to survival. Weapons certainly seem extremely cool though, and the AI seems to provide some challenges, although it’s really hard to tell at this point. Regardless, the video has opened up an appetite for exploring Destiny’s diverse planets alongside some friends.

If you’re planning on picking up Destiny, you’d best pre-order soon. Those who pre-order will be given access to the game’s beta, taking place sometime this summer. Destiny is set for release on the 9th of September 2014. It’s coming for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, but sadly won’t be landing on the PC, at least not for now. Bungie mentioned that developing Destiny for the PC would have been a complicated endeavor, and while doesn’t exclude the possibility of a future port, it’s unlikely to happen any time soon.
