NVIDIA shipped its GeForce Game Ready 621.14 WHQL driver on November 4, 2026, timed to the launch of World of Warcraft: Forever, which went live the same day. The release carries DLSS 5’s rollout into three more games, and it patches a video-playback freeze that hit GeForce RTX 50 series cards and RTX Spark systems after the previous driver.
The update is available now through the NVIDIA app and GeForce.com. In its release announcement, NVIDIA describes 621.14 as Game Ready for World of Warcraft: Forever and for DOOM: The Dark Ages | Revelations’ upcoming Slaughter Mode, while also adding DLSS 5 with 3D-Guided Neural Rendering to Hogwarts Legacy and War Thunder.
Game Ready for a fresh start in Azeroth
World of Warcraft: Forever is the headline launch partner. It is a reimagined Azeroth from the team behind WoW: Classic, with new and expanded zones, the new Skyborne race alongside Forsaken Paladins and Dwarf Shamans, more than a thousand new quests, nine new dungeons, and two new max-level raids. NVIDIA’s driver work here is the usual Game Ready play. It ships day-one optimizations so the game runs well on GeForce RTX and RTX Spark systems from the first hour.
DLSS 5 goes live in Hogwarts Legacy on November 5
Hogwarts Legacy is the first of the DLSS 5 additions, and its update arrives on November 5. The integration is the result of a collaboration between NVIDIA and Avalanche Software, the studio behind the game, and it brings DLSS 5’s AI-driven lighting and material work to the PC version.
DLSS 5 with 3D-Guided Neural Rendering uses AI to rebuild the lighting and material detail that real-time rendering normally strips away. NVIDIA frames it as the final rendering stage of the graphics pipeline. The game engine’s rendered frame stays as the foundation, while the neural model infuses the scene with lifelike lighting and materials that the engine frame defines and the artist directs. In Hogwarts Legacy, that means enhanced detail and shadows in environments, improved texture detail on characters, refined shading and lighting, and more vibrant reflections, according to NVIDIA’s DLSS 5 explainer. Players enable it through a “Neural Rendering” toggle in the in-game options.
“The team at Avalanche Software worked closely with NVIDIA to add DLSS 5 Neural Rendering technology into Hogwarts Legacy for PC to ensure the best visual results while maintaining our artistic intent,” said Jose Villeta, Director of Software Engineering at Avalanche Software. “This allowed us to iterate and tune environments, tone and skin structural parameters in a manner that keeps the game true to the original vision.”
The feature is limited to GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs and laptops, RTX Spark PCs, and GeForce NOW Ultimate subscribers. NVIDIA’s own figures put the fully maxed experience at up to 300 frames per second at 4K on a GeForce RTX 5090, up to 370 fps at 2560×1440, and max settings with ray tracing still on the table at 1920×1080.
War Thunder and Where Winds Meet follow later in November
War Thunder is next. Gaijin Entertainment’s military combat game adds DLSS 5 support in mid-November as part of its Eagle’s Shadow major update, which also introduces dozens of new planes, ships, and tanks, cluster bombs for aircraft, and visual-effect upgrades. Gaijin says the result is improved highlights, refined shadows, and a level of microcontrast the game could not reach before. War Thunder already runs a full DLSS stack, including DLSS 4.5 Multi Frame Generation, Super Resolution, Ray Reconstruction, DLAA, Reflex, ray tracing, and path-traced global illumination, so DLSS 5 adds a new layer on top of that existing stack.
Where Winds Meet, the open-world wuxia game from Everstone Studio and NetEase, gets DLSS 5 on November 23. NVIDIA notes the game has passed 100 million players and a 250,000 concurrent peak on Steam, and that the studio pushed DLSS 5’s settings to their ceiling for the update.
Two fixes worth the download
Beyond the game support, 621.14 addresses two concrete bugs. The first is a video-playback freeze or black screen that appeared on some GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs and RTX Spark systems after installing the prior 621.01 driver. The second is a color bug in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 that made the game render incorrect visual colors.
NVIDIA also lists Slaughter Mode for DOOM: The Dark Ages | Revelations as coming later this month. It is an endless single-player mode where players fight escalating demon waves across multiple arenas, earn cosmetics, and chase a personal-best round score. NVIDIA recommends pairing it with ray tracing or path tracing plus DLSS Ray Reconstruction, Super Resolution, and Multi Frame Generation.
The release covers both Windows 10 and Windows 11. NVIDIA has signaled that Windows 10 support for Game Ready drivers will not last forever, but 621.14 still installs on the older operating system, which matters for players who have not yet moved to Windows 11.
Where it sits next to AMD’s recent driver
The release lands a few days after AMD’s Adrenalin 26.10.2 optional driver, which fixed FSR frame-generation crashes and overlay conflicts on Radeon RX 9000 series cards. NVIDIA’s patch follows the same narrow pattern, fixing one video bug and one color bug while the feature work rides along in DLSS 5. If you are on RTX 50 or RTX Spark hardware, or you play any of the games the driver targets, those two fixes alone justify the download.
