Palworld Jetragon Location: New Spawn, Level, Weaknesses, and Catch Guide

Find Jetragon’s current level 70 spawn in northwest Sunreach, unlock the Feybreak route, exploit its Ice weakness, and capture it safely.

Quick Answer

Quick Answer: In Palworld 1.0.4 on Steam PC, Jetragon is a level 70 Legendary Alpha at Dragonmark Peak in northwest Sunreach, around coordinates (-553, -1332). It no longer appears at Mount Obsidian. Unlock Sunreach through Feybreak Tower, use the portal, then fly to the detached island. Bring a developed Ice Pal and Sol Spheres, lower Jetragon’s health carefully, recall your attacker before the final hit, and throw spheres until the capture succeeds.

This guide was fact-checked against the Steam PC build current on September 9, 2026. Pocketpair’s official v1.0.4 notes do not announce another Jetragon-specific location or level change. Console patches can arrive on a different schedule, so verify the version shown on your title screen before relying on the 1.0 route below. GamerHeadlines has not independently playtested this encounter; the route and fight advice are based on current official notes and independently published guides.

Where is Jetragon in Palworld 1.0.4?

Jetragon is on Dragonmark Peak, a small floating island in northwest Sunreach, at approximately (-553, -1332). It appears there as a level 70 field Alpha, and the final approach requires flight between separated islands.

The current PalMods Jetragon guide maps the encounter at [-553, -1332]. Game8’s updated Jetragon guide independently confirms northwest Sunreach, Dragonmark Peak, and level 70. Coordinates are best used as a navigation aid: once close, look for the named Dragonmark Peak area, the detached island, and Jetragon’s Alpha marker.

Why is Jetragon not at Mount Obsidian?

Mount Obsidian was Jetragon’s Early Access location, not its current location. Historically, the level 50 Alpha appeared in the volcanic southwest near (-789, -321); Palworld 1.0 moved the encounter to Sunreach and raised it to level 70.

Pocketpair’s official Palworld 1.0 changelog introduced Sunreach and documented a wider enemy and boss placement review. The current Game8 guide and Timesaver’s post-1.0 route document Jetragon’s new placement. Our earlier report on Palworld 1.0’s launch and fresh-save advice provides context for the full-release transition. Do not travel to the historical Mount Obsidian coordinates when playing version 1.0 or later.

How do you reach the new Jetragon location?

The route starts with the Feybreak story gate, not a direct flight from the base map. Defeat Bjorn and Bastigor at Feybreak Tower, return to the top, and use the portal that opens the legitimate route to Sunreach.

The access sequence is corroborated by the current PalMods Sunreach route and Timesaver’s Jetragon walkthrough.

  1. Prepare for Feybreak Tower with cold protection for the approach, healing supplies, ammunition, and a team capable of defeating Bjorn and Bastigor.
  2. Clear Bjorn and Bastigor, then return to the top of Feybreak Tower and interact with the newly available portal.
  3. After entering Sunreach, activate travel points as you encounter them. Timesaver recommends Azure Tapestry as the convenient named waypoint for this route.
  4. From that side of Sunreach, fly northwest toward Dragonmark Peak and approximately (-553, -1332). Keep enough mount stamina for the separated, vertical approach.
  5. Land on stable ground before engaging if possible. Confirm the level 70 Jetragon Alpha marker and leave room to dodge without falling from the island.

What should you bring to catch Jetragon?

Bring a combat-ready Ice Pal, late-game armor, healing supplies, a controlled-damage weapon, and several Sol Spheres. Game8 recommends the Sol Sphere for this high-level Legendary capture and lists Exotic Spheres only as a weaker fallback.

  • Ice attacker: Frostallion is a strong combined flight-and-combat option. A well-developed Ice alternative is better than an underleveled counter chosen only for its element.
  • Spheres: use Sol Spheres when available and bring a reserve. Do not rely on a fixed throw count because capture power, sphere tier, remaining health, and world settings affect the displayed chance.
  • Player safety: use current late-game armor, a shield, healing items, and enough ammunition to avoid being forced into risky final attacks.
  • Damage control: favor attacks you can stop cleanly. Persistent burn or poison can reduce a large health pool, but either can also defeat Jetragon during the capture window.
  • Escape plan: keep your flying mount available and avoid spending all of its stamina before the fight begins.

How do you catch Jetragon without defeating it?

Use Ice damage to create the favorable matchup, then slow down near low health and remove every source of uncontrolled damage before throwing spheres. Capturing is the objective; reducing the health bar to zero ends that attempt.

  1. Open from stable ground and let the Ice Pal pressure Jetragon while drawing some attention away from your character.
  2. Dodge telegraphed attacks and use solid terrain for cover, but do not depend on a cliff-lock or pathing exploit.
  3. Reduce health in controlled increments. Watch both Jetragon and any damage-over-time effect rather than firing continuously.
  4. Recall the attacking Pal and stop shooting before another hit could be lethal.
  5. Throw your best available sphere. If Jetragon escapes, regain a safe position and try again instead of rushing a low-percentage throw while exposed.

Why is Jetragon missing or hard to capture?

The usual causes are an outdated guide, an uncleared Sunreach access gate, a coordinate-sign error, a version mismatch, or capture gear that is too weak for a level 70 Alpha.

  • Sunreach is inaccessible: defeat Bjorn and Bastigor first. A flying mount helps after entry but does not replace the tower portal.
  • The coordinates point into empty space: both values are negative. Confirm you are reading the Sunreach map, then navigate by northwest Sunreach and Dragonmark Peak.
  • The island is empty: check that the game and server versions match, leave the immediate area, and return after the encounter has had time to respawn.
  • Capture odds are negligible: improve capture power where possible, lower health further without dealing a lethal hit, and switch to Sol Spheres.
  • Jetragon keeps dying: recall the active Pal earlier and avoid burn, poison, or high-burst attacks during the final phase.
  • The saddle is unavailable: catching Jetragon does not automatically craft its Pal Gear. Check the level 70 technology unlock and the current material list in your build.

What does Jetragon unlock after capture?

Jetragon can become a fast flying mount with the Aerial Missile Partner Skill after its Pal Gear is unlocked and crafted. Pocketpair’s 1.0 changelog says Aerial Missile received higher power and a shorter cooldown, while the official v1.0.3 patch notice lowered Jetragon-related technology unlocks from level 79 to 70 and reduced the ride gear’s material requirements.

The current v1.0.4 notes do not list a further Jetragon-specific saddle or location change. Recheck this section after any patch that mentions Jetragon, Sunreach, boss placement, capture balance, Pal Gear, or Aerial Missile.

Jetragon location FAQ

These answers cover the remaining version, route, and respawn questions that matter before making the trip.

Is Jetragon still at Mount Obsidian?

No. Mount Obsidian is the historical Early Access location. In Palworld 1.0.4, go to Dragonmark Peak in northwest Sunreach.

What level is the current Jetragon Alpha?

It is level 70. The earlier level 50 figure belongs to the pre-1.0 encounter.

What is Jetragon weak to?

Jetragon is a Dragon-type Pal and is weak to Ice. The elemental advantage helps, but team level, survivability, gear, and damage control still matter in a level 70 fight.

How long does Jetragon take to respawn?

Current guides do not agree on one exact default timer: PalMods describes roughly an hour in a solo world, while Game8 lists 70 minutes. Server restarts and custom world settings can also affect availability, so treat those values as estimates rather than a guarantee.
