Retail outlet Best Buy has announced over 100 stores will be taking part in the ‘Super Smash Bros Smash Fest‘ event, which will allow gamers to gain early access to the highly anticipated fighter from Nintendo; Super Smash Bros, coming to 3DS during Q3 2014 and Wii U sometime in Q4 2014. The event will be available throughout numerous states including California, Flordia, Georgia, Texas, Ohio, and many more – the entire list can be viewed on the Best Buy website.
Things will initially kick off on June 11 between 4 and 9PM, then again on June 14 between noon and 5PM. Each store participating will have the demo version available, and will allow up to four players to take part – the Wii U version will be present, whilst nothing on a 3DS demo has been mentioned. The first 70 people to turn up who pre-order the game will receive an exclusive rare collectible golden coin.
Although the 3DS version won’t be available, gamers are encouraged to bring along their 2DS or 3DS systems in order to play with others on games such as Kirby: Triple Deluxe and Mario Golf: World Tour. A number of new fighters are making there way to the roster in the new Super Smash Bros, including Mega Man, Wii Fit Trainer, Villager, Rosalina and Luma, and Little Mac.
