Greetings fellow Pokemon Trainers, today is the day we’ve all been waiting for. It was just announced that the United States will be getting both a Diancie and shiny Gengar distribution via Game Stop later this year! That’s right, two new Pokemon events prior to the launch of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
The first set of dates to mark on your calendar is October 13th through to the 26th. During this time players will be able to pick up a special, promotional card from Game Stop. This card gives a shiny Gengar holding a Gengarite Mega Stone that lets it be mega evolved into that totally rad, white Mega Gengar you’ve always wanted, and that I bred to get. I’m not mad. I didn’t spend hours and hours trying to get a shiny Gastly or anything. I’m happy everyone will have one now.
Immediately after the Shiny Gengar distribution comes a Pokemon event for the mythical Diancie. This legendary has been killing those who have their completed Pokédex. Knowing there is one Pokemon out there that is literally unattainable is torture for PokéFanatics. Finally, the wait is nearly over. From October 27th to November 16th, those who venture to Game Stop will receive a promo card for this little gem of a Pokemon.
In the announcement it was stated that Diancie will be transferable to Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, though it is not stated how Diancie will make its way to the remakes. Could we be seeing a Diancie Mega Stone event in the new games?
If you’re like me, you’re extremely excited to finally get your hands on that legendary that has been taunting us from the internet for months, and having a shiny Gengar will definitely be a cool addition to the collection.
