Razer Producing Its Own “Micro-Console & TV”

by GH Staff

Razer are one of the biggest gaming peripheral company in the world and with good reason, their products while pricey, are produced to the absolute highest quality and come packed with tons of extra features, they also look damn good as-well!

However Razer has worked on other projects besides gaming keyboards and mice, in the past they have released the “Razer Edge” which is regarded as the best “Gaming Tablet” around, letting users run their “Triple-A” games at constant 30+ frames while mobile or even on a plane, essentially bringing their games console with them in their pocket. If that wasn’t proof enough of Razer’s commitment and capabilities for gaming they also announced and showcased a model of their new “Modular Computer” known as “Project Christine” which allowed users to swap out computer parts on the fly with no cable management or even having to disassemble the computer, it allowed users to simply unlock a section of the computer, and slip a new or replacement part in within a matter of seconds, an impressive feat to say the least.

Now Razer have announced another new launch to arrive later this fall, their new “Micro-Console” with Android TV has had it’s details kept in wraps for now however Razer has promised that it can “Stream movies, music and other large-screen entertainment apps as-well as hardcore gaming” so far we know almost nothing about their latest project other than it is in production and has a per-rendered image made for it’s design, although this may not be final.
So far the device does sound alot like the recentĀ  Amazon Fire TV but we can hope that Razer will stick true to their motto “For Gamers, By Gamers” and pull off a genuine home-gaming system that could rival it’s competitors like the recent “Steam-Machines” and other Third-Party devices.
