While there has been plenty of leaks in regards to the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 being released soon and in production. Nothing solid came from the leaks or rumors. That is until now, a recent FCC cert shows the device is real and its connectivity bands and the phones dimensions.
We can see from the FCC certification, that the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 sports LTE Bands B2,4,5 and 17. As well as the usual GSM and 3G bands. It will have 2.4/5Ghz Wifi wireless A/C we can assume.
The Galaxy Mega 2 is 164.4 in height by 85 mm wide, which makes it smaller than the Galaxy Mega 6.3 but larger than the Mega 5.8. Which leads towards the rumors which reported the phone to have a 5.9 inch 720p Super Amoled screen. (Sorry folks, no 1080p it seems)
The leaks on the Galaxy Mega 2, also point to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 soc with an Adreno 306 powering the graphics. 2GB of ram and an 8GB of flash storage onboard.
In the camera department we see a 12MP rear camera and a front-facing 4,7MP camera for selfies and video calls. The camera is rumored to record up to 1080p/30 fps video. And the OS should be the latest version of Kitkkat 4.4.4.
With the FCC cert out of the way now, it shouldn’t be long before Samsung makes this all official.
