Ridley Scott’s TV series Halo: Nightfall will tell the events prior to Halo 5: Guardians and will give us a good insight into what the characters’ motivations are. Halo: Nightfall is coming with Halo: The Master Chief Collection later this year, a compilation of all 4 main Halo games remastered. The first image of the actor playing as the mysterious new character, Agent Locke, has been released, which is currently the featured image of this article. Locke is being portrayed by actor Mike Colter.
Agent Locke is the character seen on the cover of Halo 5: Guardians, above the logo with an upside down Master Chief beneath it. Locke is described as “a rising star in a futuristic army, who is troubled by aspects of the military industrial complex he inhabits. Approaching combat situations with caution and logic, he inspires loyalty in his fellow Spartans”, information which we learned from E3. The Halo TV series will focus primarily on Locke and the events will take place between Halo 4 and Halo 5, telling his story and explaining why he’s relevant to Halo 5.
Halo 5: Guardians was announced prior to E3 2014 and is coming in 2015 for Xbox One. Players who purchase the Master Chief Collection will gain access not only to Halo: Nightfall but also the Halo 5 beta later this year. The Master Chief Collection releases on November 11.
