Scuf Gaming has finally revealed their new 4PS controller for the PS4 and it could not be released at a timelier manner. Recently, there have been widespread reports that the PS4’s Dualshock 4 is falling apart: a problem that was posed by IGN but Sony quickly answered it with the following statement. “A very small number of users have reported to us that the rubber surface of their Wireless Controller (DUALSHOCK 4)’s analog sticks have torn. Although the rubber material of the analog sticks fulfills our quality assurance standard, we will inspect…and will replace them with new ones for free as long as they are within the warranty.” With that said, Scuf Gaming’s timely video reveal of the 4PS controller could be seen as a suitable replacement for avid and competitive gamers.

As anyone can see, the 4PS controller for the PS4 features a lot of the same details as the Xbox One version. The above video reveals that the PS4 edition will have adjustable thumbsticks, the removable Control Disc over the D-pad, Pro Grip Handles, two back hook paddles that could be mapped for preference, Electro Magnetic Re-mapping, and the player’s own distinct design. Obviously, all of the previously mentioned features can be customizable, which is why this controller is a preference among competitive and hardcore gamers.
Yet, Scuf has yet to release a specific price tag and a release date, besides June 2014. So expect to hear more information about Scuf’s 4PS controller in the coming weeks. But if one wants to buy this new controller, he or she should expect to spend more than a $100; the Xbox One counterpart varies from $109.95 (on sale) to $149.95.
