Square Enix took to Twitter today to announce that they are holding a One Year Anniversary Video Contest for their MMORPG Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn. The contest, which will be a part of an array of anniversary festivities, is intended to “reflect back on the past year, boost morale of the realm, and show off their pride as a citizen of Eorzea!” Because of the fact that the content of the video is to be of actual in-game footage, those wishing to partake are required to have an active subscription to Final Fantasy 14.
In order to partake in the contest, entrants must record their video using in-game footage, either as an individual or as part of a team (with no more than 10 members) and upload it to YouTube using the titling format [FFXIV-1stAnniv] followed by the title name. From YouTube, entrants are then required to post the link in the entry thread. Further details of the requirements can be found on the main thread. Upon the conclusion of the video contest, there will be a maximum of 100 winning entries picked from both individual entries and team entries for the in game prizes. The prize consists of one Mandragora choker and 300 in-game Skyrockets.
The contest opens today and will run up to August 12 at 8:00 (GMT) so start working on your contest videos today to ensure you create a prize winning video.
