With the imminent release of Super Smash Bros. for 3DS coming October 3rd, Masahiro Sakurai has decided to shift focus from the portable handheld version of the game to its considerably larger big brother on the Wii U.
Masahiro Sakurai, the creator of the Super Smash Bros. franchise, has recently revealed a brand new stage that will be exclusive to the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros.

The stage comes from a Wii U exclusive game that was released last year, Game & Wario. While the game was not as successful or popular as past WarioWare installments, Sakurai deemed it competent enough to make a Super Smash Bros. level based on the game.
Sakurai had the following to say on Super Smash Bros. for Wii U’s exclusive stage:
“Pic of the day. Here’s a stage exclusive to the Wii U version: Gamer. Don’t let Mom find you while you’re duking it out!”
“If Mom does spot you, she’ll scold you and blow you away! I’ve never seen a fighting action game as chaotic as this one.”
Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS has already been released in Japan (9/13/2014), and is gearing up for North American/European release on October 3rd.
The Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. is rumored to release on November 21st.
Nintendo has stated the reason for not releasing the 3DS and Wii U versions simultaneously is to allow each version a debugging period.
