by GH Staff

Sony hit a home run with Xperia Z and Z1, so they decided to follow up with Xperia Z3, which has highlighted as offering better features.

One of this year’s favorite smartphones has to be the Sony Xperia Z3, with just few inches away from being a perfect smartphone. The new Xperia Z3 is no doubt an upgraded Xperia Z2, and Sony can go ahead and pat themselves on the back offering a great phone. For Xperia owners, the look of the upgraded version is somewhat familiar because it resembles it other predecessors. At the top, it has a chunky bezel and one at the bottom of its screen. Unlike the previous versions, it doesn’t have the side bezel any longer. It is thinner slightly, and easy to handle, even with a 5.2 inch screen.

The design overall is pretty nice when compared to Xperia Z2. Xperia Z3 provides a more curved body, and the corners are coated in hard nylon and the edges are dull metal, this is meant to reduce the stress of the impact in the event of a fall.

The newer version is lighter at 10g, and makes is better to put in your pockets. The ports are waterproof, considered the most waterproof Xperia, with an IP65/68 rating. The phone is offered in silver/green, black, copper brown, and white shades.

Camera Quality

Song knows a thing or two about producing good cameras, so for their newer version they have improved with providing G lens technology on their rear camera using 20.7MP lens. It also has an Exmore RS sensor combined with a Bionz engine.

The capability of the ISO at 12800 is a major improvement from the previous Xperia Z series. This is expected to reduce the noise in the background that has been a problem with providing clarity to low lightening issues.

The Xperia Z3 camera has changed with the G lens that provides extra width and measures wider at 25MM to capture more area with the camera.

The front camera features a 2.2MP and can record 1080P videos.

Looking At The Screen

One of the most impressive features by far for the smartphone is the resolution at 1080X1920 and a bigger screen with a display of 5.2 inches. The screen provides sharper text and crystal clear images and smoother touch capabilities for browsing pages and applications.

Improved Performance

With a 2.5GHz quadcore, the Xperia Z3 comes with a QUALCOMM snapdragon 801 processors that make it a powerhouse running on 3GB RAM. It smoothly operates without lagging and records 4K videos.
Operating on Android 4.4 KitKat, the Xperia Z3 offers an easy to use interface that will sure to impress its Xperia lovers.
