Well it appears that the company known as Telltale Games wastes very little time; despite working on Season two of The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, and a newly announced Game of Thrones game, the company has been developing a spinoff of the very popular Borderlands series, which is known as Tales from the Borderlands. And Telltale games producer, Adam Sarasohn, has decided to use the Playstation blog to premiere the first Tales from the Borderlands screenshots, as well as, key information.
Adam Sarasohn believes that though Borderlands was an odd choice for an adventure game, “[Gearbox has] built a world that rivals Star Wars in its richness… If you play Borderlands simply for the sake of shooting stuff, then you might not be a fan of Tales, but if you enjoy being on Pandora, hanging out with and finding out more about all of the amazing characters… then this might be a game series for you.”
The producer then decided to bullet several interesting details about the future game. First and foremost, the gamer will play as two characters: Rhys, an ambitious company man who works for Hyperion, and Fiona, a con artist who has ‘burned a lot of bridges on Pandora.’ The player will get to see each characters point of view, which means that “both have a very different opinion of the events that brought them together, and the only way to find out something near to the truth is to live their lives and make your own decisions.” Also, the events of this episodic game will take place after Borderlands 2; but if you saw the VGX teaser trailer, then you should realize that Handsome Jack might be back.

However, the most interesting fact revealed by Adam Sarasohn is the ability to use the loot from Tales “in other areas of the Borderlands franchise;” but again, this was just briefly mentioned by the producer at the end of his article. For now, there are no details that indicate how the looting will be transferred over, but one should assume to hear about this in the near future.
And finally, the game will be priced at $4.99 and it will be cheaper to those who buy a Season Pass. At the moment, the company has not released the supported platforms, but it will probably be released on the PC: on the other hand, could Telltale Games make the leap to PS4 and Xbox One or will they continue to release games on the previous generation consoles? Hopefully, we will find out more information in the coming months.
