The Walking Dead Season 2 lands on the PS Vita next week

by GH Staff

Recent events should put a stop to all the ‘PS Vita has no games’ arguments. We’ve seen Sony pushing more and more games onto the portable console, and some of these manage to be surprisingly fun to play and well ported. Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead was a successful game on the PS Vita, and the game’s second season is arriving on the Vita too, starting next week. The launch date is set for the 22nd of April in North America and on the 23rd of April everywhere else, and will see both so far released episodes (The Walking Dead – Season 2, Episode 1: All that remains and The Walking Dead – Season 2, Episode 2: A house divided) land simultaneously. This means that The Walking Dead fans playing on the PS Vita will be able to catch up to gamers playing the series on the PC or consoles.

Telltale hit gold with The Walking Dead, the series receiving critical acclaim for its first season, and great reviews so far on its second season too. The periodical story-driven game centers on Clementine during the second season, and so far the story has been meeting the extremely high expectations of fans. Each episode will be priced at £3.99/€4.99, but you can opt for a Season Pass that will give you access to all 5 episodes of the season (3 are still to be released) along with a 20% price discount.

If you haven’t given The Walking Dead a try so far, be sure to pick it up. It’s one of the best games you could play on the PS Vita, and both the first and second seasons proved to be equally engaging and of impeccable quality. The events of the game happen in the same universe as the events of the TV show and comic book series, but focus on different characters, locations and events. There’s no better reason to dust off your PS Vita!
