The Last of Us still has things to say before it takes its rightful place in gaming history. The last DLC to be released for Naught Dog’s smash hit will be entitled Grounded Bundle, and will include a series of additional content and tweaks to the original game. The Grounded Bundle can be picked up as a whole, or can be purchased individually based on what you want from the game. Let’s take a look at what the Grounded Bundle includes:
- The first component of the bundle is the Survivalist Weapon Bundle, a package containing 4 new weapons for the game. The bundle contains a double-barreled sawed-off shotgun, a grenade launcher, a sidearm and a silenced assault rifle. It can be picked up for $5.99.
- The second part of the last The Last of Us DLC will introduce a new set of skills, and will be called Situational Survival Skills Bundle and Professional Survival Skills Bundle, each costing $3.99.
- The third part is entitled Grounded Mode, which is essentially an extremely hard mode for the single-player campaign. Grounded Mode will make The Last of Us extremely challenging for those that feel a need for further thrills. “Grounded Mode will be the hardest challenge you’ll ever face as you try to complete the single-player campaign of The Last of Us. The AI is relentless, smart, and brutal, and survival will be near impossible. ‘Completed Grounded Mode’ might be one of the most difficult Trophies you’ll ever earn.” states Naughty Dog, and we’re hoping the description is true. Grounded Mode will set you back $4.99.
- Last but not least, 4 new multiplayer maps will be introduced under the Reclaimed Territories Map Pack name. The new stages will be entitled Wharf, Capitol, Coal Mine and Water Tower. The entire pack can be picked up for $9.99.
Overall, there’s a bit of content for every taste. If you want the entire package, you can pick up the Last of Us Season Pass for $19.99, which also includes the Abandoned Territories expansion. The Season Pass will be available until the 13th of May, after which it will only become a part of The Last of Us PS4 Remastered Edition. Keep in mind that the PS4 version will no include the Weapons and Skills packs, only the Grounded Mode and the multiplayer maps, so if you want the entire package, you’ll still have to spend some money. It’s likely to be worth it, as The Last of Us is one of the best games of 2013 and is certainly one that every gamer should have in his or her collection.
