The PlayStation 4 Lab – Sony’s New Advertisement Campaign in Japan

As the release of the next-gen PlayStation 4 in Japan is just a month away, Sony has created a new channel in Nico Nico named “PS4 Lab.” With the idea to maintain and create additional hype before the release of the console, the channel will feature eight video broadcast episodes, which will be streamed during the month of February. The episodic series will be featured around ‘secret development stories’ and are aimed to ‘convey the charm of the PS4.’

Each episode will involve a special guest and will revolve around the development process of certain titles. The first episode airing on February 1st, will be featured around The Playroom and Knack. President of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Hiroshi Kawano has also mentioned in a recent interview that he has a number of unannounced titles to disclose, so it is highly likely the ‘PS4 Lab’ may include if not an announcement, a spoiler of a new upcoming PS4 game.

The episodes will be airing on February 1st, 8th, 11th, 15th, 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st at 10 PM Japan time.
