Telltale Games have officially released the title screen artwork for The Wolf Among Us Episode 5: Cry Wolf this afternoon, simply stating that the season finale is “coming soon”.
Although no concrete release date has been stated yet, the slow reveal of information regarding the episode reflects the release of Episode 4: In Sheep’s Clothing quite closely. The developer revealed a similar title screen, followed a week later by a screenshot teaser. We’re hoping we get some new eye candy released that soon.
TellTale specialise in episodic, narrative driven games. Initially being recognised for titles such as Sam & Max and Monkey Island, the studio have recently fallen into the limelight after their gut wrenching The Walking Dead game. The Wolf Among Us is based on the comic book Fables and serves as a canon prequel to the series. It runs on the unique premise of fairy tales living in squalor, poverty and isolation in the human world. Bigby Wolf, our protagonist, is Little Red Riding Hood’s big bad wolf and Fabletown’s local sheriff and peacemaker.
If your stomach is churning at the thought of both The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us ending their current seasons soon, TellTale are involved in two up coming projects worth getting excited over. Both Tales from the Borderlands and Game of Thrones are upcoming titles in development from the studio scheduled for a mid 2014 release, so there will be plenty on the horizon.
Following it’s incredible success, The Wolf Among Us, along with The Walking Dead seasons 1 and 2, will be coming to the PS4 and XBOX One, along with retail copies available for the XBOX 360 and PS3 later this year.
