Late last month, GamerHeadlines reported on an impressive and well-done Uncharted fan film – entitled Ambushed – which was created and directed by an individual named Martin Sofiedal.
Apparently, making an Uncharted fan film got Sofiedal in good with Naughty Dog, the game development studio behind the beloved Uncharted franchise (and more importantly – the upcoming Uncharted 4).
Martin was invited to Naughty Dog’s studio for a comprehensive tour, as well as an exclusive, insider, first look at the highly anticipated game, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
Not surprisingly, Sofiedal had much to say in regards to the game.

Martin stated the following in regards to his first look at Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End:
“I got to see some pretty raw stuff from the new game, including drawings of planned action sequences and how all the characters look like with upgraded graphics. It was almost scary to see Sully as a nearly iving person. I also got to see a few seconds of the opening scene, which is still under development, but already looking incredible.”
“They showed some tests where Drake was going through a bit of tall grass and how every straw reacted to his movements while also responding to the wind. It was crazy. I’ve never seen anything like it.”
Sofiedal went on to compare Uncharted 4‘s current-generation graphical leap similarly to the transition from PlayStation 2-era visuals to those of a Pixar movie.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is expected to release sometime next year, and will be, as all previous Uncharted games, a Sony PlayStation (4) exclusive.

What are your thoughts on Sofiedal’s statements regarding the next Uncharted‘s graphical fidelity? Do you expect anything less from Naughty Dog? Why or why not?
