Finally, it has been officially announced that the Watch Dogs App for Wii U will come out in November and details about the long overdue release will surface in the next coming days. There have been a number of promises that the app will be released for compatibility with Wii U but the final confirmation was just given very recently and now what the developer is worried about is if it will be positively embraced by gamers or not.
The excitement of many gamers for the title has actually diminished a bit after the launch of the Watch Dogs App on other consoles a few months ago with Wii U not receiving any of the DLC of the game.
This will be Ubisoft’s last release of M-rate games for the Wii U because the company has come up with a conclusion that such offerings for mature games don’t give them back enough profits. While many fans were not pleased with the decision of Ubisoft, Watch Dogs App for Wii U will still come out and it be made available starting November 18.
The Watch Dogs App companion has received an update just recently in order to make it compatible with the game’s Nintendo version. Those players who will use this application will be able to enjoy the game with their friends on Wii U. They can control the city with map interaction. Say for example, one player can track down the other using a helicopter or by sending the police to the location of its opponent.
Many fans have reacted positively to the news of the availability of the Watch Dogs App for Wii U but they are still displeased with the decision of Ubisoft to stop releasing other M-rate games to the console. Considering the long gap between the initial release of Watch Dogs and the good and bad reviews that the game received so far, there is a possibility that the new update on the game will rate poorly. If this happens, Ubisoft will only be able to confirm that M-rate games for Wii U are not profitable at all and should be stopped.
The Watch Dogs App for Wii U will be officially released in November 18. Will you be picking up the game on its release or there are no plans just yet?
