Eleventh Hour Games continued Hype Week for Season 5: Rage of the Frostborn with a Day 3 preview of three new skills arriving October 1. Following yesterday’s faction preview, the studio detailed Radiant Lance, Summon Tide Elemental, and Dreamslash.

Paladin Gets Radiant Lance

Radiant Lance is an offensive spell that brings holy light from the sky into the shield before blasting it outward. Like Shield Bash, it gains damage from block chance, and block chance scaling now uses uncapped block chance. Cloudless Sky lets players use it without a shield and swaps block chance scaling for mana scaling on two-handed weapon users. Cloud Burst makes it drop on enemies directly, and Exterminatus adds a forward beam and sky blast so one enemy can be hit by both at the cost of cast speed and mana. Scathing Light adds a non-stacking fire and lightning damage over time ailment to bosses and rares. Abyssal Heresy is a Void conversion node, and Golden Reliquary places an invulnerable Reliquary that casts Radiant Lance for the player, with a maximum of one scaling with attunement.

Shaman Summons Tide Elemental

Summon Tide Elemental is the Shaman’s final mastery ability and a new minion option. Tidal Totem converts it to a totem that loses movement but is affected by totem modifiers, while Seahenge forces totems to surround the elemental and extends totem duration. Water Spout redirects a cast Tornado to an enemy when it hits the elemental. Whirlpools lets the elemental cast Maelstrom whenever the player does, using the player’s Maelstrom tree and the elemental’s stats. Wellspring grants an aura with cold spell damage and increased cast speed to allies within 18 meters. Pools of Reverence removes the buff for players while making it more effective on totems. Elemental Fury grants ramping cast speed, and Unleashed Elements consumes those stacks to unleash shotgunning projectiles.

Bladedancer Gains Dreamslash

Dreamslash is the Bladedancer’s final mastery skill and a low-cost, spammable attack with movement. It hits enemies along a path before a quick slash, and shadows also perform Dreamslash and dash beyond targets. Nightmare Steel unleashes a wave instead of propelling the player, still counted as melee. Narcolepsy grants Dream stacks for significantly more damage but random targets. Dreamwalker increases Dream stack gain, and Dreamshift lets Shadows substitute for Dream stacks. Collapsing Shadows gives a chance to inflict Shadow Daggers on hit, doubled for shadows that perform Dreamslash. Recurring Dreams guarantees shadows get resummoned on every use but rapidly consumes mana. Apocalyptic Vision converts damage to fire and ailments to ignite. Eleventh Hour Games said all three skills arrive October 1, and Day 4 of Hype Week will cover new Unique items.
