Microsoft Casual Games has launched Microsoft Jewel, a new standalone mobile app for iOS and Android. It is the first new mobile app from Microsoft Casual Games in seven years and the fifth app in its mobile lineup. The launch gives players a dedicated app for the Match-3 game, with Xbox Achievements, cross-device progress sync, and Game Pass benefits.
Standalone Mobile App
The standalone app is separate from the Xbox mobile app and Microsoft Solitaire Collection, where players may have already played Microsoft Jewel.
Match-3 Gameplay and Daily Challenges
Microsoft Jewel is a Match-3 puzzle game. Players match three or more jewels to clear them from the board. Each match builds the player’s score and makes room on the board for the next move. It is easy to jump in for a few minutes, and there is plenty to keep playing when there is more time.
Microsoft Casual Games said the gameplay will feel familiar to players who have played Microsoft Jewel on PC, in Microsoft Solitaire Collection, or through the Xbox mobile app. Players can create Bonus Jewels and place them where they will have the biggest impact, while each move opens new possibilities across the board. Power-ups can set off chain reactions.
Daily Challenges give players a new goal each day, whether they complete the latest challenge, chase a higher score, or return for another round.
Xbox Achievements and Cross-Device Sync
Players can earn Xbox Achievements on mobile. To do this, they sign in with a Microsoft account, which tracks accomplishments and keeps building the player’s Xbox profile.
Signing in with a Microsoft account also syncs progress between Microsoft Jewel on iOS, Android, and the standalone PC app. Players can play on a phone while away from a computer, then return to the PC version without starting over.
Jewel brings achievements to mobile as Xbox Insiders began testing Mythic Achievements this week.
Game Pass Premium Benefits
Xbox Game Pass members receive Premium benefits when playing Microsoft Jewel on PC. Those benefits include an ad-free experience and additional in-game benefits.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members receive those Premium benefits on both PC and mobile.
