Sony has revealed the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup for October 2026. The three games are F1 25 on PS5, Hunt: Showdown 1896 on PS5, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 on PS5 and PS4. PlayStation Plus members can claim the games from Tuesday, October 6 until Monday, November 2.
The October 2026 Monthly Games
F1 25 is the official video game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship. Its single-player modes Career and My Team 2.0 let the player become the owner of a Formula 1 team and create their own F1 stories. A new multiplayer mode in F1 World lets the player race as a squad with friends against AI drivers.
Hunt: Showdown 1896 is an extraction shooter. Players can fight alone or with up to two teammates against monsters and other Hunters in corrupted backwaters. They race competing Hunters to track down bosses, claim their bounty, and extract. Crytek recently announced Blood Testament Chapter 2 for Hunt: Showdown 1896.
Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 is set on a square Earth under attack by giant enemies. Players rescue scattered teammates, select 4 teammates to form a team, choose equipment, and deploy to battle. The game includes soldiers from the mainline Earth Defense Force series and spin-offs. It has four-player online co-op and two-player local split screen on PS5 and PS4.
Last chance for the September games
The PlayStation Plus September 2026 lineup remains available to add until Monday, October 5. That lineup includes Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life, and Chained Echoes.
October extras for members
Spider-Man: Brand New Day avatars release Tuesday, October 6 on Sony Pictures Core for a limited time. PlayStation Plus members can claim them in-app at no extra cost. Non-members must get Spider-Man: Brand New Day on Sony Pictures Core to get the avatars.
For the spooky season, PlayStation Plus members can claim horror-themed in-game item bundles. These include the Call of Duty: Warzone Horror Bundle on October 1, the Hunt: Showdown 1896 Starter Pack on October 6, and the Overwatch 2 Dragur Reinhardt + 5 Tier skips pack on October 7.
