Coffee Stain Studios has revealed Core Values, the first paid DLC and a major expansion for the factory building game Satisfactory. The announcement was made during the Big Break Showcase on September 29, 2026, and the studio shared an announcement trailer alongside the reveal. An official launch date for the expansion has not been announced by Coffee Stain Studios.
What Core Values Adds
The expansion sends Pioneers deep into the crust of the planet MASSAGE 2(A-B)b. Their mission expands below the planet’s surface, where a brand new story is waiting to be uncovered. The new underground environment features cavernous biomes, as well as new flora, new fauna, new foes, and a friendly feline, according to the studio. The deeper a Pioneer goes, the more of the world’s story unfolds, with new research and production lines tied to the alien anomalies found in the dark caves.
Pioneers drill down through the crust, mantle, and core of MASSAGE 2(A-B)b. Along the way, they discover new resources, fauna, and creatures while developing a separate factory network underground. Core Values adds new factory buildings, equipment, and products. Special tools are included to extract unique resources from the rocky terrain. The expansion also includes new hostile and passive creatures native to the depths of the planet.
Core Values activates once Pioneers reach Tier 3 of HUB research. That milestone requires constructing the Space Elevator. After activation, players can complete the DLC at their own pace. They can jump between the main story and the DLC story.
Underground Building and Base Game Support
Once the subterranean world is unlocked, players can traverse between the overground and the underground. Underground rock formations restrict factory building in ways the overground does not. According to Coffee Stain Studios, FICSIT’s R&D team is developing new ways to overcome those restrictions. The base game will continue to receive regular updates while Core Values is in development.
Platforms and Wishlist Details
When Core Values launches, it will be available day-and-date on Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Players on Steam and the Epic Games Store can add Core Values to their wishlists right now. Console wishlisting is coming in the near future.
