Creative SB inferno Review

The Creative SB inferno Headset is the latest gaming headset to be released by the Sound Blaster designers. The headset design itself has had help from various big gamers that were looking to simply produce a great quality yet affordable headset for gaming. The Creative SB inferno doesn’t need external power to work either, it is simply plug and play.

The device comes in one color design, red and black. These colors in my opinion make it stand out, but it is a shame there isn’t more color combinations. The headset also has a detachable mic as well as a bundled adapter for your PC.

The Creative SB inferno didn’t at first strike me as something special, it simply looked like your average headset that must be lessened by the fact it needed no external power source. I was completely wrong, the Creative SB inferno simply blew me away. Along with its striking color scheme came striking performance. The headsets 40mm full spectrum drivers ensured a crisp sound, it delivers great bass even with the volume cranked up all the way. The Creative SB inferno is just insane in its capability of delivering non distorted audio, during a Call of Duty session every round fired could be heard leaving the chamber and hitting the enemy as well as distant explosions and footsteps.

I have used a wide array of headsets from the cheaper headsets you find on eBay to Turtle Beaches and none have come even close to the audio deliverance this headset gives. Along with the speakers, the detachable mic also delivers with flexible boom and a noise cancelling condenser that actually works. Whilst playing back my latest YouTube review I instantly noticed the difference, my voice sounded much clearer.

There are a couple of drawbacks with this headset though, for one it is wired and only compatible with devices such as the PlayStation 4, PC, Vita, Smartphones and Tablets. It will  only work with the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 with an adapter.

Secondly the sound does escape from the headset so other people in the same room can hear what you can.

These really are the only noticeable problems, this truly is a great gaming headset for its relatively cheap price. It’s extremely comfortable even after a night of gaming. The Creative SB inferno has certainly won me over and I will be using the headset for the foreseeable future!
