Candy Crush Saga, a game which has enjoyed tremendous success among regular smartphone and PC users, has, off late, started losing its charm somewhat. The reason behind its diminishing popularity is the widespread bugs and problems which have riddled the game ever since its android version was updated in late August. The developers of the game tried to smooth out the bugs through a frenzy of updates, which were no less than an annoyance in them, but were still unable to fix the problems completely. And it seems that they have simply given up trying fixing the bugs in the latest update which does not address the problems faced by the users at all.
Frustrated users have been complaining of bugs in the game which do not allow smooth game play as well as a newly added option in the August updated version which required users to log in to their Facebook accounts before they could play the game. Many users who do not have an account on Facebook were seriously miffed while several others have reported that even after logging into Facebook; the game would either freeze or not open at all.
The latest version – 1.39.4, though useless with respect to fixing the bugs, nevertheless serves some purpose by introducing new content which seems to be quite fun. A new Dreamworld episode called ‘Bubbly Blog’ has been added which contains 15 new levels for the players. Another new content called ‘Tiffi holds a Bubble Party’ has also been added. These new levels at least ensure a few hours of fun game play for the Candy Crush fans.
Nevertheless, even in spite of the new content, the October update to Candy Crush has left the fans disappointed as many were hoping that an updated version would be free of bugs and would thus ensure hassle free game play. Many users, tired of waiting for the bugs to be fixed, have left one star reviews on the app’s Play Store page and have actively demanded the developers to take action to resolve the game’s problems. Fans are complaining that they are being prevented from playing the game due to the presence of these bugs and many declare that they have given up on the game for good. There are many other similar games available, after all! The only way to pull out Candy Crush from its mire of complaints and dissatisfied users is to fix all the bugs as soon as possible with the next update.
In the meanwhile, the developers of Candy Crush have not responded to the complaints and comments left on the app’s Play Store page. Neither have they issued an official statement about the status of fixing the bugs. One can only hope that they are too busy in actually addressing the problems so as to come up with a solution to all the problems being faced by the users. In spite of the disappointment dished out by version 1.39.4, the players have their fingers crossed for the next update to the game.
