Gamers have been encountering Error Code 160-0103 after playing For Glory mode in Super Smash Bros, for Wii U

Since its release last week gamers have been randomly encountering Error Code 160-0103 while playing Super Smash Bros, for Wii U which has reportedly caused the Wii U to wipe its data and more.

Smash players may want to avoid going online for a while until Nintendo can fix Error Code 160-0103.

This error has only been reported for the Wii U version of the game and is currently only happening to the US versions of the game. While it’s not known what has caused it yet, Smash players who have encountered it are blaming either the system memory or the game’s update data. Gamers only realise that they have the error when they try to access either the game or the Data Management page from the Wii U Home menu.

Any attempts to access the Data Management page after this will cause the Error Code 160-0103 to appear and gamers who have seen this make reported multiple issues including a total wipe of the Wii U data and even the Wii U bricking itself. Gamers where then reportedly told to format their consoles which resulted in another code. 

Due to these problems gamers have been sending their bricked consoles back to Nintendo who are working on a fix. It should be remembered that Error Code 160-0103 is a pretty rare. but gamers should still be wary.

Gamers have been encountering Error Code 160-0103 in Super Smash Bros, for the Wii U after playing For Glory mode which has reportedly either bricked their consoles or wiped out all their data. In response to this gamers have been sending their Nintendo Wii U’s back to Nintendo, who are currently working on a fix.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is the fastest sell Wii U game in the States with over 490,000 physical and digital copies in the first three days.
