NBA2K15 is the latest release in the NBA 2K franchise. While NBA2K15 is a console game, it was launched recently along with a companion app called MyNBA2K15, an app for iOS and android based mobile platforms. This companion app itself is an update to MyNBA2K14 and is loaded with several new features, many of those which were requested by the players themselves!
The game play is quite simple yet creative. Instead of a traditional basketball game, this android game is played using cards which feature famous basketball players. Each player has the option of choosing his team from over 1000 cards which would then battle against the team chosen by other players. The game also includes a MyPark Chat option through which one can text other players hanging out in the park, Redeem Locker Codes option to enter locker codes in the game and Daily VC bonus which can be grabbed on a daily basis to earn more points.
Some other features which the players have really been excited about are Season Matchmaking and Season Coach Cards. While the Season Matchmaking feature is used for pairing up with opponents of equal skill for an ultra-competitive season, the Season Coach Cards can be used to give a boost to the team during certain stretches in the season which are crucial for the a winning strategy. New Quick Game Reward Tiers have also been introduced which scale up with the progress of the team. Therefore, the better the performance of the team, the better the rewards it earns.
The game is available as a free download from the android app store. However, there are several items needed to strengthen your game which will have to be bought. The in-app purchases are in the form of a credit pack which would give a boost to your overall team strength. A small credit pack costs around $1.99 but there are several larger packs available, the most expensive ones being almost $49.99. The MyPlayer Store also provides the facility of transferring certain purchased items to the console from the mobile device. Players also have the option of connecting MyNBA2k15 with its main app i.e. NBA 2K15, enabling them to earn points for the console game through the companion app.
