COD: Advanced Warfare E3 Show Will Be ‘Incredibly Special’

by GH Staff

Glen Schofield & Michael Condrey, the co-founders of Sledgehammer Games, made a new post on their website highlighting their anticipation for E3 this year. In this post, they mention how the show presentation for their latest game, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, will be ‘incredibly special’. Every year at E3, a Call of Duty game that was announced around May is given a lengthy gameplay demo presentation on the E3 stage, showing us one of the levels that will be playable when the game releases in November. This year will likely be no different, but from the statements made in the blog post, we might be in for a nice surprise.

The anticipation of showing off the most ambitious project we’ve ever worked on is a truly humbling feeling, and we could not be more proud of the amazing work being crafted by the team at Sledgehammer Games. The studio is buzzing with the excitement and looking forward to sharing more from our game with you.

No mention is made of any exact details of what will be shown, but if history serves as an example we’ll definitely see single player campaign footage. The multiplayer gameplay is usually revealed later in the year, recently with its own unique reveal event such as with Call of Duty: Ghosts. Previously, Sledgehammer Games mentioned that Advanced Warfare will be like a whole new IP, a chance for the COD series to do new and creative things.

COD: Advanced Warfare was announced on May 2, after a leak that led Sledgehammer Games to reveal the game earlier than planned. The new game takes place in the far future, featuring high tech weapons, powered exoskeleton suits and interesting gadgets. Kevin Spacey is leading the role of the game’s antagonist, delivering a convincing performance just from the trailer alone. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare launches on November 4 2014 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC.
