The return of PlayStation’s original mascot Crash Bandicoot may be coming sooner than we think. In a recent interview with the Telegraph, Sony President Andrew House said that Sony would be open to reviving Crash Bandicoot and Spyro. “In concept, it is something we’ve been thinking about and discussing, and this is a shift for us. We’ve started to say that maybe there isn’t anything wrong with going back and looking at characters that people still talk about, that were a big part of their childhood or their youth. I definitely wouldn’t close the door on that,” said House.
Crash Bandicoot released for the PS1 in 1996 followed by three more games before being sold to Activison in the early 2000’s. The last time Crash was on our TV screens was in 2008. Last there was a rumor that Sony had bought back the mascot from Activison but that was denied by an Activison official.
