Which is the better smart device today we go over, the Galaxy Note 3 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. We will provide a brief overview of their design, specifications, battery life and price. When it comes to buying a new smart device, be it a tablet, smartphone or laptop, it proves worthwhile to see which one is providing the best performance for your money. When looking at smart devices, it is usually a good idea to see which operating system it is using and if it is up to date, this shows the manufacturer cares about what they are distributing and are providing the best option to end users.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Specs and Price
Not a lot is known about the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 at this point. We’re certain Samsung will upgrade most aspects of the Galaxy Note 3 though, even if the Note 3 isn’t bad at all in its current state. One of the most notable changes to the Galaxy Note 4 will be a possibly iris scanner, something we’ll also be seeing in the Samsung Galaxy S5. The Note 4 will be receiving a 16 MP camera, and will most likely come paired with optical image stabilization. AMOLED technology is almost a guarantee for the Galaxy Note 4, and it’s possible that Samsung will be launching its three-sided display technology with the Note 4 as well. The size of the screen will most likely remain around the 5.7 inch margin (with 5.9 inches being a solid guess), but coupled with a QHD resolution display (2,560 x 1,440 pixels), we can expect crystal-clear quality and top-notch PPI.
Hardware-wise, we expect to see nothing less than the absolute best in the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. It’s going to come with Qualcomm’s strongest Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM or more, and we’re confident Samsung will invest heavily into upgrading battery-life as well. Storage space will most likely be expandable up to 128 GB, with 32GB or 64GB of internal storage from the get-go. Obviously, it will be coming with Android 4.4.2 KitKat at least, so you can pretty much kiss Jelly Bean goodbye.
Overall, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be a top-of-the-line product, from every perspective. It’s most likely going to be the basis for Samsung to release some highly anticipated new technologies (such as the three-sided display). The Galaxy Note 4 won’t be cheap though. It’s surely going to cost more than the Samsung Galaxy S5. Expect the phablet to cost around $300 with a two-year contract, or slightly above $1000 carrier-free.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is still an extremely steeply-priced phablet. Carrier-free, the price revolves around the $950 mark at the time of writing, depending on your general region and retailers. Still, it offers top-notch technology even by today’s standards, which is not entirely surprising, considering that the Galaxy Note 3 was released in September 2013. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will most likely be more expensive when it launches, and by then, the Galaxy Note 3 will be getting considerable price-cuts.
Conclusions
While we don’t have concrete information about the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 as of yet, it’s clear that it will come with major improvements over the present model, the Galaxy Note 3. At this point, it’s simply not worth investing into the Galaxy Note 3 anymore. The Samsung Galaxy S5 will be launching soon and will have a similar price, but overall better features and specs. As for the fall season, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will have to pull out the big guns to compete with the iPhone 6, so expect major improvements over the previous model. For a slightly higher price, you’ll be getting better hardware, a much better display, higher battery life and a heap of nifty new features in the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. If you haven’t picked up the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 yet, you may want to hold off for the new model, or if you can’t wait until September 2014 (when the Galaxy Note 4 will be launched), just grab the Samsung Galaxy S5 next month.
